Evergreen Elementary is Saint Mary County Public Schools crown achievement in sustainable design and technology. The school includes high efficiency lighting and daylighting solutions, energy efficiency, and has incorporated sustainable design into the curriculum through an outdoor environmental laboratory on the upper level and an educational kiosk in the main corridor. Evergreen is scheduled to open in August of 2009.
